Fire Resistant

The fire environment is hostile and its effects can be catastrophic for both life and property. The occurrence of fire and its development is also essentially unpredictable and uncertain.
It is therefore critically important that the specification, selection, and installation of fire resistant glazing are all carried out with close attention to detail.

We offer a wide range of fire-resistant glass options with varying levels of protection to suit your needs. Protection levels are measured in defined time periods (30, 60, 90, 120 and 180 minutes) and in terms of either integrity and insulation or integrity only, as designated by the European Standards.

Integrity is described as the ability to contain a fire to prevent collapse, holing, cracks and fissures or sustained flaming on the unexposed face.

Insulation (in addition to integrity) is the ability to provide a restriction of the heat rise, measured on the surface to an average of 140°.
